The Tools page lists the companion’s tool catalog grouped by area: Browser automation (browser_*) first, then developer tool groups such as Console, Network, Elements and Performance & memory. Each group header shows how many of its tools are on, with Enable all or Disable all for that group. Each row has the tool name, an expandable description (the same text the agent sees) and a switch.
  • Search filters by name or description.
  • All / Enabled / Disabled segments narrow the list.
  • Enable all and Disable all act on every listed tool; with a search or filter active they become Enable matching and Disable matching.
Switching a tool off takes effect on the agent’s next call, without restarting anything. Calls targeting this profile’s tabs use this dashboard’s switches. Calls spanning browsers and calls in developer sessions use the combined disabled list from all connected dashboards. The agent receives a message telling it the tool is off and to ask you to enable it. Details and the persistence rules are in Tool policy.
The list is empty until the companion has connected once and sent its catalog. HTTP-only companions send it before any agent connects. If it stays empty while connected, update and restart the companion, reload the matching extension and reconnect. See troubleshooting.
