Updates
Shows the extension and companion versions, the latest release and when it was checked, with Check now. When a release is out, Update… opens the update dialog. Check for updates (on by default) lets the extension ask your local companion, which checks Browspark’s GitHub releases at most every 6 hours; with it off you get no badge, notification or prompt. Whether the agent may launch separate Chrome, Brave, Firefox or Zen sessions. Only when needed (default), Always, or Never. When several dashboards are connected, the most restrictive setting applies. See Tool policy.Connection graph
On by default. Shows Graph in the sidebar with the agents and browsers connected to the companion. Turning it off hides the page and stops graph updates for this profile. It does not disconnect agents or change tab sharing. The setting is saved independently in each browser profile.Other extensions
Controls thebrowser_extensions tool. Grant permission asks the browser for the optional management permission (the browser shows its own prompt). Once granted, Let agents work with other extensions is the consent switch: it also turns the tool on, and turning it off switches the tool off again. The tool starts switched off on every profile.
Share options pages the agent opens (Chromium only) shares the options tab the agent opened so it can be automated. It never applies to Browspark’s own pages, chrome://extensions or store pages.
The list shows every installed extension with an enable/disable switch for your own use. Agent actions on extensions appear in Activity when the activity log is on. See Work with other extensions.
Browser behavior
Work in background — Do not switch away from my active tab is on by default and saved per browser profile. Agent-created tabs open in the background; input and screenshots target the assigned tab without activating it. Explicit agent activation and window resizing are blocked while enabled. Opening the dashboard or selecting a tab yourself still works. If a page needs foreground interaction, select the agent tab yourself or temporarily turn this setting off. With it off, the previous foreground behavior is available. Check the page before retrying an action. The same card holds Show the agent at work, the agent overlay switch, on by default. Draws the soft cyan halo, moving cursor and Stop button on this profile’s tabs while the agent drives them. See The agent overlay. The overlay is available in Chromium and Firefox. On Firefox extension tabs the in-page Stop button is unavailable; use the dashboard’s sharing and Stop controls instead.Privacy

Stops access to this profile’s tabs, clears its shared list, switches Share everything off and disconnects this extension. Other connected profiles and developer sessions remain available. Resume reconnects this profile; share tabs again afterwards. To close developer sessions, ask the agent to usebrowser_session with action: "close" and the context name, or all: true.
Stop all agents ends every agent process connected to the companion’s port, including agents that keep running background jobs (an opencode serve service or a Hermes gateway, for example). The companion finds each agent from the process that holds its connection; agents launched through npx, bunx, uvx or a shell are traced back to the agent that launched them. Desktop apps such as Claude or Cursor are disconnected rather than closed, and clients that can’t be identified are disconnected only. Browsers stay connected. Because any browser extension can reach the companion’s port, nothing is stopped until you confirm in a system dialog the companion opens on your computer (macOS, or Linux with zenity or kdialog; elsewhere the request is refused). If the companion was started by one of the stopped agents over stdio, it exits with that agent, and the next agent you start launches a new one.
